Philosophy

At SGA Companies, we believe not just in designing beautiful buildings, but in designing the right building for each community that we serve. Which is why we make a point of meeting with the community to get residents’ input and perspective. Takoma Park is a unique community with a profound respect for the environment. We share that respect and it is reflected in the project, from the green roof to the recycled materials. Building green will make a tremendous difference, and living in Ecco Park will offer one way for people to do their part in helping to care for the planet.

The Architect

Ecco Park was designed by Sassan Gharai. Sas was trained as an architect in Washington D.C. and has worked in the city for the last 20 years. Sas’s approach to this project was to engage the community, city planners, and the historic preservation office in a dialogue to determine how this building could fit in. That dialogue became the basis for the design.

Steve Bower, AIA -- An architect with more than 25 years of experience, Steve has been deeply involved in the intricate design of Ecco Park.

Victor Faustino -- As Managing Director of construction, Victor has overseen the development of many multi-family projects and townhomes.
